Chapter 43 – ONE-CONTROL: Intelligent Heat Management in the Browser

Intelligent heat requires more than sensors and infrared emitters. It also needs an operating layer that makes technical processes understandable. ONE-CONTROL connects INFRAMEDIC system components through a browser-based interface without requiring a dedicated app.

Why browser-based?

Many connected products depend on a manufacturer-specific app, an account, and often a permanent cloud connection. ONE-CONTROL takes a more direct approach. A smartphone, tablet, or computer connects to the system’s local Wi-Fi network, and the operating interface is opened in a browser.

The device provides the interface required for its operation. This approach supports different screen sizes and avoids dependence on one mobile operating system.

A clear interface for a complex process

A useful interface does not display every possible technical value. It presents the information relevant to the current process. Depending on product and configuration, ONE-CONTROL can show:

  • measured back temperature,
  • application status,
  • the conditioning phase,
  • the selected program,
  • the installed software version.

Users can see whether the system is preparing, active, paused, or finished.

The conditioning phase

People begin heat applications under different conditions. Back temperature can be influenced by clothing, room climate, movement, time of day, and personal constitution.

The conditioning phase supports a controlled transition into the selected program. Instead of treating heat as an abrupt jump in output, the system observes how back temperature develops and prepares the application accordingly.

Programs and enabled functions

ONE-CONTROL can manage different programs, including back-heat programs and content for meditation and relaxation. Depending on the product and business model, user recognition, usage-based billing, and system configuration functions can also be enabled.

This makes the platform relevant for private applications as well as professional environments that require repeatable processes, user assignment, or usage accounting.

Interaction with SAFETY SENSE

SAFETY SENSE and ONE-CONTROL perform different tasks. SAFETY SENSE provides feedback from the application. ONE-CONTROL provides the browser-based interface and manages programs and approved system functions.

  • Sensors measure back temperature without contact.
  • The control logic evaluates the change.
  • Heat output is adjusted within the defined parameters.
  • ONE-CONTROL presents status and enabled functions.

Responsible data use

Connected systems must define which data is needed, where it is processed, and who may access it. Local browser-based operation provides a foundation for data-minimizing concepts. Extended functions such as profiles, remote service, online updates, or long-term evaluation require transparent purposes and appropriate safeguards.

Available functions and future extensions

Currently available or configurable functions include key application information, program selection, meditation and relaxation content, user recognition, usage billing options, and a configuration module.

Potential future extensions include LED control, music selection and volume, user profiles, online updates, and remote diagnostics. They should only be described as product features once released for the relevant configuration.

From interface to platform

ONE-CONTROL is more than a digital on/off switch. It creates a common interface for different product forms, infrared modules, and professional operating concepts. Its value lies in the consistent connection of sensors, control, usability, and responsible expandability.
