An invention begins with a practical problem. A patent portfolio begins when the solution is described precisely, differentiated from the state of the art and protected for future development. For INFRAMEDIC, intellectual property is part of the technology strategy, not a decorative label.
The problem behind the invention
Conventional infrared applications often use fixed programs, timers or ambient temperature as the main control variable. These values say little about the actual thermal response of the individual. The technical task was therefore to connect non-contact temperature measurement, electronic control and infrared output in a coherent system.
From idea to reproducible technology
A protectable invention must be more than a concept. Measurement zones, signal processing, safety logic, emitter control and system architecture must interact in a defined and reproducible way. This development requires prototypes, testing, documentation and repeated technical refinement.
Two granted patents and seven pending applications
The current INFRAMEDIC portfolio comprises two granted patents and seven patent applications pending. The individual rights cover different aspects of the technology platform and its possible implementation. Pending applications are not yet granted rights; their status must therefore always be communicated accurately.
Why a portfolio matters
A single patent can protect a specific technical solution. A portfolio can additionally map developments, variants, application areas and integration paths. This is particularly relevant for OEM cooperation, where technology must be adapted to different products without losing its core logic.
Patents do not replace product responsibility
Patent protection does not constitute medical evidence, a safety approval or a guarantee of suitability. Each product still requires appropriate engineering, conformity assessment, documentation, operation and market-specific communication. INFRAMEDIC therefore separates intellectual property, product claims and application guidance.
A foundation for partnerships
For partners, the portfolio creates a structured basis for licensing, integration and joint development. The objective is to make intelligent infrared control usable across product categories while keeping technical responsibilities and interfaces clear.
